Welcome to Small Ball (T-Ball, A Ball, and AA Ball)

First off, thank you for coaching.  Shoreline Little League runs off volunteers and with hundreds of kids signed up for baseball/softball this year, none of this is possible without coaches such as yourself.  You are building community and lifelong memories for the players on your team.  Whether you are a seasoned Little League veteran or if this is your first time coaching, you’re going to be great and you’re not alone.  We are not hre to win championships and not really here to win games either, so relax.  We are here to make sure our kids grow, develop, and have fun.  If we cn convince your kids to play another season of baseball or softball (because they had so much fun playing with their friends), mission accomplished.  If while having fun, your kids develop some skills and are better prepared for the next level up, even better.

What follows is a resource guide for all of you to hopefully help you through your T-ball, A Ball, and AA baseball seasons.  Hopefully after reading through this guide, you’ll be better prepared for managing team communications, running your first practice, building a fun team environment, and coaching your first game.

There is no one way to coach a team, so don’t feel you are wrong to go about things in your own way and honestly you should bring your ideas to your team.  However, for those of you who are new to this whole thing, the small ball division can be a little chaotic, so I created this guide as a resource to help you along the way.
