Softball Registration - 2025

Welcome to Shoreline Little League’s registration for the 2025 Spring Softball Season! This season, we’re excited to continue our commitment to expanding and supporting our softball program. To encourage greater participation, registration fees have been reduced in the younger softball divisions. We invite parents and community members to consider volunteering as coaches or supporters to help foster a fun, engaging environment for our players.

Team Formation and Assessments

For the 2025 season, we plan to use Individual Player Assessments for AAA and Majors teams (ages 9-12). Assessments will take place on February 1st and 2nd, with makeup sessions on February 8th and 9th.

Registering for the Right Division: Please register your player in the division that aligns with their age. If you have an 8 year-old who you’d like to be considered for a drafted division (such as AAA), please register them accordingly.
No Assessments for A/AA: Players registered for AA will not participate in assessments or be considered for drafted divisions (AAA and Majors).
We also do not anticipate assessments for the Juniors level (13-14 year olds)

High School Age Softball Division (Ages 15-16)

We are gauging interest in forming a high school age team for players who want to extend their season or who didn’t participate in high school softball. This tournament/all-star team would begin practices after the high school season ends, with tournaments anticipated in June/July.
Registration for this division is currently free as we assess interest. If a team is formed, a registration fee of $200 will apply.

Practice and Game Schedule

Practices: Teams will practice three times per week at the start of the season.
Games: As the season progresses, practices will transition to games, scheduled 2-3 times per week. Additional practices, when possible, will be prioritized for softball this season.

Equipment

Required Equipment: Glove, softball pants, and cleats or tennis shoes.
Optional Equipment: Helmet, bat, and ball (the league provides shared equipment if needed, but players are welcome to bring their own).
Included with Registration: Each player will receive a team hat and shirt.

Financial Assistance

Our league believes that financial limitations should never prevent a child from playing. Scholarships are available through our partnership with T-Mobile. Learn more about this option during registration.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Before Team Announcements/Assessments: 25% cancellation fee.
After Team Announcements/Assessments: 50% cancellation fee.
After First Practice Begins: No refunds.

If the league cancels the season before it begins, registrants may choose a refund, donation, or raincheck for the next spring season. If the season is canceled after it starts, prorated refunds will be issued based on games played, less uniform costs.

Extenuating circumstances will be considered by the Shoreline Little League Board.
